Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy

Leesa is an OSU Insurance Provider with a referral from your medical doctor your visits to Leesa can be covered through your OSU insurance.

Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy is very effective on specific pain and dysfunction of soft tissue. There are a few different types of soft tissue. Muscle, tendon, ligament, fascia, and skin. Trigger Points (TPs) can be found in any of these and can cause pain or sensations with-in the local area or a referral area of the TPs. Here is an example: You come to Leesa's office with a headache that starts in the back of your head and moves up over your ear and ends at you temple area. This type headache can be caused by a TP located in you shoulder, the location of the pain you are feeling is called referral pain. Local pain is at the site of the trigger point. To help you with your headache I would work on your shoulder to deactivate the TP causing the pain in your head.

This modality is very effective due to the extensive research and international peer review it has had through the years with MD's and Holistic Practitioners alike.

by appointment only.

Leesa is not set up for credit cards at this time. Cash or Check will be accepted at the time of service.

CranioSacral Therapy and SomatioEmotional Therapy

A craniosacral therapy session involves a light touch which will allow Leesa to tune into what is call the CranioSacral rhythm. By gently working with the spine, the skull and its cranial sutures, diaphragms, and fascia, the restrictions of nerve passages are said to be eased, the movement of CSF through the spinal cord can be optimized, and misaligned bones are said to be restored to their proper position. Craniosacral therapists use the therapy to treat mental stress, neck and back pain, migraines, TMJ Syndrome, and for chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia.

SER is a therapeutic process that uses and expands on the principles of CranioSacral Therapy to help rid the mind and body of the residual effects from trauma. This process helps to release suppressed emotions that may be inhibiting complete structural releases.

The natural state of all humanity is Peace, Joy, Abundance and Wellness. Sōmenos is a transformational process which aims to uncover and remove that which impedes us from our natural state; reestablish awareness of Divine Source; and empower the Co-Creator.

Sōmenos is process work, that is done through dialogue. Leesa will assist you through a series of skills to help you understand where your pain came from, when you began your 'belief system' that has brought you to today. And help navigate you out of the pain you are holding onto.
